Littér., rare. Élan d'enthousiasme, de ferveur; effusion exaltée. Ils [les quatre cents invités] s'exclamèrent en jaculations admiratives. (...) les journalistes invités traitèrent la pièce de chef-d'œuvre, l'actrice de divine (PÉLADAN, Vice supr., 1884, p. 160). Il était projeté par l'une de ces impulsions qu'on ne peut traduire, par une de ces jaculations où il semble que le cœur enfle et va s'ouvrir (HUYSMANS, En route, t. 2, 1895, p. 44).
